You know, I have never seen a news report that detailed the fiery death of a child and thought to myself, “What a shame, if only his clothes were tighter…” Flames lapping against my child’s ankles don’t cause me to think about the fit of my kid’s pajamas. I think it’s a ploy by Carter’s to use less fabric. Someone at headquarters decided that instead of laying people off, they’ll convince gullible mommies that their children are less likely to combust if their clothes fit tightly, AND Carter’s will save money on fabric in the process. It’s a win-win.
