StinkyPosted by Kara on March 30th, 2009
Admit it. When you read the title, you felt a sense of dread. What could Kara possibly be writing about today? Is she going to write about poop again?! This post is not about poop (surprise, surprise), but on a side note, does anyone else call poop “stinky”. Not as an adjective but as a verb. You want me to use it in a sentence? What do you think this is…the National Spelling Bee? Oh, okay. I need to go stinky OR Jim is in the bathroom stinkying OR Jim-Jim stinkied in his diaper. Growing up our family did, and I have no idea how/when it became normal practice to use an adjective as a verb. Maybe this is a trend that is catching on, and I should use adjective as verbs more often. I’m going to full (eat), I think I’ll go fresh (shower), I’m going to scary (ride in a car with Jim).
Wow! That was a tangent! Gotta reel this one back in. I guess this post did talk about stinky (poop for those slow learners), but that wasn’t the original intent. I’m afraid my kid has become the stinky kid in class. We were told in a parenting class that we only need to bathe our kid a couple times per week, so Wednesday night and Saturday night are bath nights. We’re coming to realize that may not be cutting it anymore. I’ve noticed that the closer we get to bath night, the more fragranced lotion Jim-Jim comes home from daycare wearing and the more his hair looks as slick as a greasy car salesman’s. Based on these observations, you’ll see pictures like the ones below a lot more frequently!
